Dr. Simon N. PECHULANO is the founder of Salvation Medi-Rescue Mission for Africa (SMMA). He is a Cameroonian born in 1968 and hails from Bafanji, a village in the North west region of Cameroon. He attended Primary and Secondary school in Cameroon where he obtained his GCE
Ordinary and GCE Advanced level certificates. He later travelled to Nigeria where he obtained his Medical Degree (MBBS) in 1998 from the great OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY ILE-IFE Nigeria.
He practiced in Nigeria for about 14 years and moved to the United States of America to further his career. In the US while working hard to advance his career, he also enrolled and obtained Diplomas in Business Administration, Communications, and almost completed a post graduate
Diploma in clinical trial management regulatory Affairs and Drug Production from the Great University of Chicago. Had just three course units to complete, but sadly, it was cut short by the dead of his father in 2018 which precipitated his return to Cameroon his fatherland.
On his return to Cameroon he found out regrettably that his Dad’s demise was due to a combination of incompetence, negligence and gross medical malpractice. A quiet and careful reflection on how both of his parents exited this world traumatized and grieved him because he knew full well they deserved better than what they received in the hospital. Instead of grieving and being depressed, he became determined more than ever before to change the story for others by moving full swing with his already existing NGO – Salvation Medi-Rescue Mission for Africa (SMMA).
In line with his ever burning desire to touch lives, Dr Simon N Pechulano through radio, TV, lectures and campaigns reached millions of people regarding pertinent health issues (silent killer diseases) that has cut short the lives of millions as a result of ignorance and negligence.
Dr Simon Pechulano more importantly is a dedicated Christian. Who finds pleasure in helping people and working with serious and dedicated men and women across all religious background and denominations. He strongly believes that with God’s miraculous intervention, he will realize his vision. The vision as mentioned earlier, is to reduce to the barest minimum the impact of silent killer diseases in the poorest or better still health disadvantaged communities all over Africa. In addition to his many faiths based partners, Dr Simon Pechulano is always ready and open to accept other reliable and readily available partners to make this vision come true.
Dr Simon Pechulano was born into a Christian family by Mr. kwenge Patrick PECHULANO and of Madam PECHULANO Rebecca Mbiem of
blessed memory. He is the second of 5 siblings. He is happily married to Kelly PECHULANO and has been blessed with 3 kids: Alan 12, Terry 10 and Jayden PECHULANO 7 years old.
